Beginner class for March meeting
The Toowoomba Bonsai Group will conduct a three hour Bonsai Beginner's Class for members and non-members.
Several experienced group members will present and tutor for the class.
This is an opportunity to be informed about the basics of bonsai, covering:
a brief history of bonsai / concepts and 'rules' / pruning / potting / wiring / pot selection / ongoing care and watering
THIS WILL BE A FULLY HANDS ON TEACHING CLASS!!
Each participant will be given a hardy semi-trained tree and a bonsai pot and they will be supported to work on their tree, each step of the way. At the end of the class, participants will walk away with a newly trained bonsai tree, wired up and in a bonsai pot, completed by their own hands.
Cost of the class is a very reasonable $50. This is GREAT value for money, as the fee barely covers the cost of the tree alone. This is an opportunity to learn about bonsai, be tutored by experienced members and walk away with a tree that is not just a stick in a pot!
BOOKING for this Beginner's class is ESSENTIAL!
Reserve a place via the mobile number at the top of the website. Payment on the day.
Time: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Bring you own tools if you have them. Otherwise club tools can be borrowed on the day.
