Happy New Year!
The Toowoomba Bonsai Group welcomes you all to the new year and wish members and visitors a great year ahead of Bonsai creations!
The December 2014 meeting (including the AGM) came and went with an excellent turnout and 2015 sees a range of new members taking on positions on our Board. We welcome a new President, Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian and Director! It is with sincere gratitude that we acknowledge and thank the outgoing position holders who were so faithful in serving the club for many years. It is great for the life and vitality of the club to see new members stepping up to take these positions of responsibility.
The January meeting had a great number of members turn up for what is traditionally a 'quiet' start of the year. We had an informal meeting with many figs turning up for a trim or complete haircut. You also couldn't miss the very impressive (and heavy) bouganvilea trunk cutting that received it's first initial styling.
The February meeting webpage will hopefully outline our main events for the year and give you all a taste of what to expect for 2015.
As often mentioned previously, we very much welcome new members or those who are developing an interest in Bonsai, or those who just want to 'sticky-beak' at what we do. We are a warm and informal group of enthusiasts and we'd love to meet you, share a cup of coffee and have a chat.
Please enjoy these few photos of the January gathering and we hope to see you at the February meeting!
